It’s amazing how quickly time flies. I can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to doing an entire “Jackson” post yet…so here it is. I absolutely love Jackson – and while he’s only 2 months old and doesn’t really DO anything – he has already added so much to our family and I don’t remember life without him. He (for the most part) has been such a good baby and has the sweetest face.
These pictures were taken at 2 days old.
He does a great job sleeping and his record (although only for one glorious night) was 10 hours. Usually he goes from about 8 PM to 3 AM, then wakes up again between 6 and 7. I don’t know what I would do without the SwaddleMe – he loves to be swaddled when he sleeps and even when he isn’t sleeping. Often he’ll be fussy so I’ll wrap him up and he’ll just look around for 30 minutes or so. While he does a good job sleeping at night, he struggles to sleep during the day. I think it’s because Hannah is so loud but when I put him in his crib he will only make it about 15 minutes before waking up. So, he usually naps in the swing or his chair.
Jackson loves bath time and doesn’t ever cry during his baths. However, when I pick him up and wrap him in a towel he cries.
I love watching Hannah interact with Jackson. She takes such good care of him (when she’s not throwing balls at his head). She always wants to know where Jackson is and what he’s doing. She’ll get right in his face and in baby talk say “Hi, Jackson. Hi Buddy. Whatca doing? I luuuv you. You’re so cute.” She likes to stroke his hair and give him kisses. If he’s ever on his play mat, Hannah makes sure she has pulled on the frog’s legs to make the music start then she’ll lay down next to him and talk to him like she’s explaining it to him. If he’s sad in the car she’ll say, “It’s OK Jackson, Don’t cry. We’re almost home. Why you so sad?” She’s also quick to introduce him to everyone she meets.
We love having Jackson as part of our little family and we feel so blessed.
